Fr Alexander, with his customary, wide range of reference and simple, clear expression presents the essentials of our Christian faith.

This is an excellent and deep expression of his thought and an important one for all Christians.  It is equally usable by people of any spiritual family of faith as his thought is working at the level of what C.S.Lewis called “mere Christianity.”  Yet, it is so richl and full that we feel no “mereness” — nothing is left unsaid — and we realize that this is the only deep level we need.
