Event Times: 4:30 pm: general gathering in the main chapel for conversation with participants 5:00 pm: Keynote presentation by Robert Pollack, Columbia University, “A biologist, looks at the human soul” 5:30-6:30 pm: Three brief presentations: - Andrey Chernyak, “Fr Men and the soul” - Michael Allison (Goddard Laboratory), “The vocation of exodus and what it says about the human soul” - Albert Raboteau (Princeton), “ Soul Music and the soul” 6:30-6:50 pm: Round table exchange amongst the speakers Refreshment Break (coffee tea etc.) 7:10-7:30 pm: Question period 7:30-8:30 pm: Arts and soul: - Reading John Betjeman, by Peter Von Berg - Reading Charles Laughton's Noah, by Richard Sterne - Song, by Dana Talley and Michael Roshak - Magic, by Robert Aberdeen We intend this to be a festive, full but also enjoyable, evening. Surely the awareness of soul in modes ranging from science through the arts is a vital one in our time. Registration at the door for a donation if possible of $10 or in advance by mail for that amount.
